Acer Aspire 4920

My friend just bought new Acer Aspire 4920 laptop and asking me to re-install the laptop with Windows XP rather than plain FreeDOS… and I ask her, Do you want Linux with your Windows that just looks and behave like (or even better than) Windows? She said yes. So here my journey installing Ubuntu on Acer Aspire 4920

The installation when smoothly, all hardwares (including sound and network + wireless) are detected. Now it’s time exploring deeper feature of Ubuntu and Aspire 4920

    does your sound input and card reader work on this laptop ? i have also installed ubuntu on this laptop and everything does work great, except, audio in (Mic) and the internal card reader. thanks.

    oo… I have not test them. I am only installing Ubuntu on her laptop. so she will know a little bit about Ubuntu, linux and opensource… you know share the power of source spirit.

    and since then I never had a chance to met her again :(
